Shared Storage: Avid NEXIS, SNFS & Beyond

Shared storage is the heart of any multi-user post production environment. We design and deploy solutions built on Avid NEXIS, StorNext (SNFS), and other media-optimized file systems that deliver the sustained bandwidth editorial, color, and VFX demand. Our storage architectures scale from small edit suites to large facility-wide deployments with hundreds of terabytes of online media. We size every system based on real-world workload analysis (stream counts, codec requirements, and concurrent user targets) not vendor spec sheets. The result is storage that performs consistently under production load.

10GbE / 25GbE Networking for Media

Media-grade networking demands more than bandwidth. It requires low latency, minimal jitter, and careful traffic management. We deploy 10GbE and 25GbE networks with proper segmentation between media traffic, management traffic, and general IT. Our designs use jumbo frames, flow control, and VLAN isolation to maximize throughput to shared storage while keeping editorial suites, color rooms, and machine rooms on a clean, predictable network. For Atlanta facilities building new infrastructure or upgrading legacy 1GbE networks, we handle the full design, procurement, and deployment cycle.

Server Management & Facility IT

Post production servers (render nodes, transcoding engines, license servers, backup targets) require specialized management. We handle provisioning, OS configuration, security patching, and monitoring for Linux and Windows server environments. Our monitoring stack alerts on storage capacity, network throughput, and system health before problems impact a session. We also manage facility-wide IT: workstation builds, user accounts, print and scan services, and vendor coordination. Everything is documented and handed off cleanly. We build infrastructure you own and understand, not a black box.
